It hasn’t been easy for anyone lately….we’ve been wearing a mask and gloves every day since mid-March and patients have to do a 5 step process before seeing the Doctor (Check in from your car, wear a mask, take your shoes off, use hand sanitizer or wash your hands, get your temperature taken). I must first of all commend each and every one of you..our patients and THANK YOU for following all our guidelines. We know this is not easy or always comfortable, but we will continue to do what we have to do to get through this safely. Thank you for your encouragement and compliments on how we are running the office….we have fine tuned it every week.
One of the strangest things for me since Covid-19 is when I see someone now, we both go away from each other instead of toward each other to keep our distance. This is definitely not human nature and something that is so foreign to me. When I see someone I know, I want to hug, shake hands, and be closer than 6 feet apart. It will be so nice someday to be able to get back to how we used to socialize with others.
During the past few months, I’ve had a lot of time to think about our country, our society, and more importantly about our world’s health. There’s been a BIG PAUSE in many ways in everyone’s life. This has been a time of reflection and a time to figure out what is really important in life. Be sure to take time to breathe, see the beauty around you in the colorful Colorado scenery and get the “weeds” out of your life so there’s more room for what you really want going forward.
I ran across this amazing quote that is so true today, “I think that when the dust settles, we will realize how little we need, now very much we actually have, and the true value of human connection.”
We hope everyone continues to stay healthy and comes out of this a better version of themselves. Wishing everyone peace, perseverance, clarity and virtual hugs!
