I did the full 3 week Clearvite detox in the fall. Since you are only supposed to do a full liver detox once/ year, I did a minimal detox in May. Dr. Marty had never done the detox, so I decided to stick with the diet and take 1 scoop of Clearvite/ day. I was already eating better overall since getting accustomed to eating less dairy and gluten, so it was much easier to stick with the diet this time. I had already diminished drinking cow’s milk and changed to coconut, almond, and rice milk. The hardest part again was not eating eggs and cheese, but I used Rice Shreds in place of cheese. I ate a big salad every day for lunch, and once again had lots of energy and lost weight. It’s a great way for me to get a flat stomach! I made a lot of new recipes that we will keep eating and instead of using a gluten-free bun (I don’t like them), I’d use iceberg lettuce and wrap a burger in it and it was delicious! (see the recipe section for yummy recipes). I was most impressed with Dr. Marty’s willpower in sticking with the diet. He was used to eating many tomatoes each day and an egg for breakfast every day. In addition, he had never tried a gluten-free diet or dairy free diet. He had boundless energy and continued with his normal exercise routine. He just finished week 2 of the cleanse where he didn’t eat meat and is starting the 3rd week. He is excited to eat meat again!
